Substitution in the previous command
Thanks to nujoom,there is one more bash trick.Only thing it works for the immediately previous command.The following sequence would end up opening the file in 'vi'.
$ls bajajautofinance
bajajautofinance
$^ls^vi
vi bajajautofinance
$ls bajajautofinance
bajajautofinance
$^ls^vi
vi bajajautofinance
